Main job to tackle at this Working Bee will be 'pruning'.

While the garden has some loppers and secateurs, if you have a set yourself and are happy to bring them, that would be great!

  • Prune 2 x Apricot trees and other fruit trees - Quince, Fig, Pomegranate, etc as necessary.
  • Prune flowering shrubs near the main entrance.
  • Prune Passionfruit – perhaps trim the passionfruit on the pergola roof back.
  • Plant new donated trees if delivered (unlikely).
  • Relocate the ‘round’ community garden tub that has Asparagus for more space for one of the new trees – talk to MT and RS.
  • Lightly rake over Asian garden to disturb surface roots. Ideally fork/mattock/turnover the whole bed again.
  • Re-turnover the area adjacent to the compost bins near the main gate.
  • Trim ground covers outside the Western small gate near the apricot trees.
